Announcing Team Inline Fitness Boot Camp

You may have noticed...

Ok, ok. May 2006 has come and gone and if you expected to see the first issue of Inline Fitness Magazine hit your mailbox, you were disappointed. It wasn't there. Yep - we made the "classic" new publisher mistake of announcing a launch date before we were ready. Call it "the business guys got caught up in start-up enthusiasm". Then reality set in. Starting a magazine is serious business. So many considerations, outside factors, day jobs, umm and heh, oh yeah...expenses.

We're hard at work doing the groundwork to produce a magazine sometime in the future. What does that mean?! Ahh...for us, its more research, more planning, more go, no-go evaluation points and a few steps toward creating a multi-platform media property that a savvy media investor will believe in. For you...more waiting (at absolutely NO CHARGE!) Is that vague enough? Without boring you with the details, we've made a simple, rather complicated decision-we're going to put out six issues, consistently on time, or we're not going to put out even one. Without the financial backing to fund a full business plan, there's really no point in cashing the first subscriber's check or printing a single copy. We still have that un-cashed check. We look forward to depositing it soon.

While we do the groundwork, we are going to start providing you with content here at inlinefitnessmag.com. So become a regular to the site, tell us what you think of the content we post, and we'll be hard at work getting your magazine ready. (And if you know anyone that wants to actually pay to advertise in a national magazine, drop us a line!) Developing...

We're looking for people in nine regional areas of the U.S. to head up a team of "Average Joes, Not Pros." You'll be branded with official TEAM ILF race jerseys, get lots of cool gear, and the love and adoration of throngs of fanatical Inline Fitness Fans in your area! (OK, so we can't promise you that last part, but you will have a lot of fun!) Each team member will be required to take (and pass) a criminal and personal background check, and have at least one member who is a certified skate instructor.
